You may wonder, how did the Central West Virginia Corvette Club begin? The idea for the club was started in 1971 by a man named Connor Thompson. Thompson, along with Tom Miller and Johnny Warner, worked at Ingersoll Rand and would discuss the matter of forming a club while at work. Connor started researching the NCCC (National Council of Corvette Clubs) for National Membership so they could have insurance. In order to be eligible to start a club with the NCCC, they needed ten members.
